Purpose

Our practice uses an artificial intelligence (AI) tool called DAX Copilot to assist in creating medical documentation during your visit. This technology securely listens to the conversation between you and your clinician and generates a draft clinical note for review.

How It Works

• The system records and processes the conversation during your appointment.
• The AI generates a draft medical note.
• Your clinician carefully reviews, edits, and approves the final documentation before it becomes part of your medical record.
• The AI does not make medical decisions or provide medical advice.

Privacy and Security

• The system is designed to comply with HIPAA and healthcare privacy regulations.
• Your information is encrypted and handled securely.
• Audio recordings are not permanently stored unless required for quality assurance under strict privacy protections.
• Your data is not sold or used for marketing purposes.

Your Rights

• Participation is voluntary.
• You may decline or withdraw consent at any time.
• If you decline, your visit will proceed with traditional documentation methods.
• Your decision will not affect the quality of care you receive.

Risks

• As with any electronic system, there is a minimal risk of data breach despite security safeguards.
• There is a possibility of transcription errors, which your clinician will review and correct.
